Lucius M. Volkskull is a quiet, intense man with a mission. Having witnessed the murder of his mother & father by a malignant demon (an event which turned his hair white from fear) Volkskull followed in his father's footsteps by becoming a an exorcist. As a priest of St. Cuthbert, Volkskull travels the lands using his ability to banish and destroy ghosts, demons, and the occasional undead when necessary. He has been hunting for Grelz'Ibol, the demon who murdered his parents, but so far has had little success.

Volkskull stands 5'9", with a trim, gaunt form. He tries to hide his slight form in multiple layers of black robes, leather armour, and a great cloak like the night. He often keeps his hood up to hide his face which is not pleasant to gaze upon. Volkskull was blinded in the left eye when his face was raked by the claws of a vengeful demon. Three scars mar a face that might once have been handsome, but now elicits only disgust from members of the opposite sex. As a result, Volkskull has never been married, though he was once in love with a woman named Illse. After his disfigurement, Illse left and eventually married a man from a neighbouring town. Instead of becoming bitter, Volkskull has instead focused on his mission, allowing no time for women, or revelry, though he is known to find solace on occasion in a bottle of whiskey.

Recently Volkskull returned home to discover that a new evil has taken control of his father's former church, and a scourge of undead is hunting and killing the townsfolk. The battles have not gone well for the living, and Lucius and a handful of survivors have found themselves surrounded in the town.
